US Marshals Just Busted 45 Violent Southeast Iowa Suspects in May
There's a reason why the US Marshals are considered one of the most lethal law enforcement agencies in America. No organization brings in more fugitives than they do and they just completed a month-long operation in southeast Iowa where they quietly busted 45 violent suspects.
The press release just shared by the US Marshals says that "Operation Time's Up" was just completed in southeastern Iowa. Here's how many Iowa law enforcement departments were included:
"U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force - including the USMS, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, Burlington Police Department, Fort Madison Police Department, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Corrections High Risk Unit, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations – joined forces with law enforcement officers from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Keokuk Police Department, Mt. Pleasant Police Department, and the West Burlington Police Department"
In total, they arrested 45 suspects that were wanted for outstanding local, state and federal warrants with many of the accused allegedly being involved with "drugs, assaults, sex offenses, or other crimes of violence".
This massive southeastern Iowa bust also confiscated "a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and illicit prescription drugs".
This massive law enforcement smackdown began on April 29 and continued through the end of May.
