Two drug arrests follow a traffic stop and residential search by Hannibal Police Saturday.

Hannibal Police say 39-year-old Ahmed Elder fled a traffic stop in his vehicle shortly before the search warrant was served at his residence. Police say Elder was stopped a short time later and taken into custody. A search at Elder's residence at 503 North Hawkins yielded almost six pounds of methamphetamine, 1.2 pounds of cocaine, 36 pounds of marijuana, three handguns, and $83,000 in cash. Police also took 41-year-old Rachel Elder into custody. Ahmed and Rachel Elder are held on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and cocaine, distribution of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. Ahmed Elder is also charged with possession of a firearm as a felon and possession of a defaced firearm. Ahmed Elder and Rachel Elder are held in the Marion County Jail. Bond for each is set at $100,000 cash only.
