Two Traffic Crashes on US 136

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers report two traffic crashes Monday afternoon on US 136 in northeast Missouri.

The first crash occurred at 1:10 p-m when 22-year-old Cody Sommers of Kahoka lost control of his SUV at Luray. Troopers say the vehicle went off the road and overturned several times. Sommers was taken to Scotland County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

An Iowa woman sustained minor injuries when her car went off 136 two miles west of Wayland at 2:10 Monday afternoon. The Patrol says 18-year-old Shelby Goben lost control on the snow covered road. Goben’s car went into a ditch and hit several trees. She was taken to Keokuk Area Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
