Two Traffic Crashes Friday in Lewis County

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers report two traffic crashes in Lewis County Friday.An attempt to avoid hitting a farm implement results in a rollover crash on Lewis County Route K north of LaBelle at 1:50 Friday afternoon. The Missouri Highway Patrol says 72 year old Margaret Thorn of Kahoka swerved her SUV to avoid a farm implement and lost control. Her vehicle overturned. Thorn was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A Quincy motorcyclist is recovering from minor injuries after a car pulled into his path on Missouri 6 in southern Lewis County at 9:20 Friday night. The Missouri Highway Patrol says 22 year old Jordan Peackock of Fort Gibson Oklahoma turned on to the highway from a private drive into the path of a motorcycle operated by 58 year old Richard Cole of Quincy. Cole was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.
