A high speed chase and manhunt in Lewis County results in the arrest of two Quincy men Thursday.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department reports a high speed pursuit Wednesday evening began in LaBelle and ended when the vehicle crashed at Route BB and Highway 16.

A passenger in the vehicle, 31 year old Ryan Curee, was taken into custody, while the driver, 32 year old Wesley Elledge, fled the scene and became the subject of a manhunt.

Elledge was taken into custody Thursday afternoon southeast of Monticello.

Both Curee and Elledge face charges of delivery of a controlled substance and resisting arrest by fleeing.

Both are in custody. Curee’s bond was set at $35,000. Elledge is being held on $50,000 bond.
