Two Hurt, Two Ticketed in Pike County IL Crash

Two are hurt and two are ticketed as the result of a two vehicle crash on 225th Street at 255th Avenue in New Canton in Pike County, Illinois at 8:26 p.m. Sunday.

The State Police reports 25 year old Amber House of Kinderhook was southbound, failed to yield at the uncontrolled intersection and struck an eastbound van, driven by 20 year old Pearce Chaplain of Barry.

Chaplain and his passenger, 59 year old Harold Kindle of Quincy, were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

House was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way. Chaplain was cited for no valid registration and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
