Three In Custody After Pittsfield Armed Robbery

Three suspects are in custody after an armed robbery in Pittsfield Friday night.

According to Pike County Sheriff Paul Petty, Pike County deputies, along with Pittsfield Police and Illinois State Troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the BP gas station in Pittsfield around 9 p.m. Friday.

One suspect was found immediately, two others were taken into custody shortly thereafter. A search of the area uncovered a handgun, money and clothing believed to have been used in the robbery.

The investigation into the robbery continues, with charges expected to be filed over the weekend.
