A Pittsfield man is arrested Monday on child pornography and other charges.

Pittsfield Police were made aware of transmission of and requests for child pornography from a Pittsfield resident to a minor in Elmhurst, Illinois.

An investigation led to the search of a Pittsfield residence and the arrest of 22 year old Jeremy Thometz of Pittsfield.

Thometz is charged with possession of child pornography, intimidation, possession of a controlled substance, sexual exploitation of a child and theft.

Pike County State’s Attorney Zach Boren says additional charges are likely.
