An Adams County jury finds Steven Gavin guilty of first degree murder in the death of Carlous Wires. Jurors arrived at their verdict at mid afternoon Thursday following around 14 hours of deliberation. Gavin was also found guilty of armed robbery. Sentencing is scheduled for 1:30 p-m on April 6th. Wires was killed in November of 2015 in a residence on North 4th. This is the second time Gavin was tried for murder in Wires death. A mistrial was declared last Feburary after a jury deliberated for 12 hours without a verdict.
