Storms Bring Rain and High Winds to the Hannibal/Quincy Area

Strong thunderstorms moved through the area Tuesday night into this morning.
Downed power lines closed the 24th and State intersection in Quincy for a time. Up to 200 Ameren customers lost power due to the storm in Quincy. High winds felled tree limbs and branches in many areas. Power outages and damage are also reported in Keokuk. The storms dumped between an inch and a half and five inches of rain across northeast Missouri and western Illinois.
