Slick roads contribute in a pair on injury traffic crashes Tuesday morning in northeast Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a van driven by 56-year-old Joe Smallwood of Moberly went off US 36 eight miles east of Shelbina at 6 a.m. Tuesday. Troopers say Smallwood lost control on the icy road. The van hit a bridge and came to rest in the median. Smallwood was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

A one car crash on US 61 just south of Route W-W in Pike County injures a Foley woman. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by 20-year-old Taylor Harding went out of control on the ice covered road at 7:44 a.m. Her car went off the road and hit an embankment.
