If you have done business with an Edina gas station in recent days, authorities are advising that you check your credit or debit card statements for fraudulent charges.

Edina Police Chief Ryan Bishop reports that officers were called to the Yesway station in Edina Tuesday evening.

A technician had been called to the station to work on one of the pumps and discovered that two credit card skimmer devises had been installed on the pump.

Skimmers record credit or debit card information, including pin numbers, names and other card information.

Chief Bishop reported that, as of Wednesday morning, several illegal transactions had been reported in connection with the skimmers in Kirksville, Columbia, Jefferson City and the Lake of the Ozarks.

The investigation into the incident continues. If you have information, you’re asked to call Edina Police at 660-397-3251.
