If you thought Friday was an unusually warm day in Hannibal, you were right.

The official National Weather Service reporting station at the Hannibal Filter Plant says that Friday’s high temperature reached 72 degrees, breaking a record that had stood for over 50 years.

The previous record high for November 24th was 70, set in 1966.

In case you’re wondering, today’s record high is also 72 degrees, and forecasters are predicting a high today of 58.
