Hannibal Water Filtration Project Progresses

Work on new water treatment facilities at the Hannibal Filter Plant is progressing.
Hannibal City Council members heard an update at Tuesday’s meeting. Excavation work for a water storage tank for the new Granular Activated Carbon facility is well underway. Weather delays have been a factor and the contractor is slightly behind schedule. City ordinances require a change from the current treatment system using ammonia by next March 31st.
