Quincy Woman Arrested in Pike County on Meth Charges

A traffic stop on Interstate 72 in Pike County results in the arrest of a Quincy woman on meth related charges Tuesday.

West Central Illinois Task Force agents report 21 year old Taylor Hicks was stopped at Milepost 33 north of Pittsfield for speeding.

A K-9 unit was called in and alerted to the presence of narcotics in Hicks’ car.

A search of the vehicle revealed an ounce of meth, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.

Hicks was charged with possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of meth and taken to the Pike County Jail in Pittsfield, pending her first court appearance.
