Still No Arrests In Wires Homicide
Police in Quincy have still made no arrests in the case of the November shooting death of Carlous Wires 48 of Quincy.
Wires was shot and killed in his home on North Fourth street in Quincy over around the Thanksgiving Holiday, according to the Quincy Herald-Whig. Quincy police were called to the Wires’ home at 11:45 p.m. Wires was pronounced dead just after midnight on Nov. 24 and his case was labeled a homicide. No gun was found at the scene. Detective Lt. Dina Dreyer said the department is investigating new leads as they come in, but have not received any more yet. The Whig says Wires leaves behind his wife Vivian, four children, and six grandchildren.
