Quincy Public School District officials announce the future site for another new elementary school building.

The district announced the purchase of 15 acres of land on the west side of North 12th across from the Hamann Lane intersection. School district officials say McNay Trucking donated 225-thousand dollars toward cost of the land. This site would be the fourth out of five elementary schools to be built following the passing of the School Bond Referendum in 2014.

One of the new schools will be at the current location of Monroe School. Another is planned east of 30th and Locust.
