Quincy Public schools will be asking voters to approve a tax referendum March 17th.
Board of Education members Wednesday unanimously approved asking voters for a 53 cent tax levy increase. The increase would raise about five million dollars. Information from Quincy Public Schools says 1.3 million dollars would go toward funding state mandates including minimum teacher salaries and minimum wage requirements. Several events are planned to help voters inform themselves prior to the March 17th vote.
