Quincy Police: No ‘Bus Load of Rioters’ Coming to Quincy

As far as local law enforcement is aware, rioters protesting the death of George Floyd are not headed for the area.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, Quincy Police say they are aware of rumors about a “bus load of rioters” said to be headed for Quincy.

In working with the FBI, local authorities have found no confirmed information indicating the rumors are true.

Quincy Police say they will monitor the situation closely, and will respond immediately to any reports of criminal activity.

Meanwhile, local outlets of national chain stores are taking precautions just in case.
Officials with Hy-Vee, Home Depot and Wal-Mart in Quincy report are taking precautions accordance with corporate protocol.
