A local group has agreed to pay $120,000 in installment on the purchase of the Quincy Gems baseball team throughout three years.

The Quincy Herald-Whigreports Gems BB3, LLC has already made one $18,000 payment to the Quincy Civic Center Authority. The group will make two more $18,000 in 2015 and 2016, followed by a final payment of $66,000 in 2017.

Gems BB3, LLC is collectively owned by four Quincy residents, including general manager Terry Martin and longtime team manager Chris Martin. Terry Martin will now serve as the team's president and Chris Martin will take over as general manager. The two other owners, Jimmie and Julie Louthan, handled concessions last season. Jimmie Louthan will become the new vice president of the team, while Julie Louthan will be the secretary-treasurer.
