A month-long investigation results in the arrest of a Pike County, Illinois man Monday.

Sheriff David Greenwood said a traffic stop in Pittsfield just before 5:30 p.m. Monday resulted in the arrest of 21 year old Clayton Watts.

Watts has initially been charged with criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Watts is alleged to have had sexual contact with a person under the age of 18.

Greenwood said that since the investigation began, more alleged victims have come forward.

When Watts was stopped, he was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled substance.

Watts is in the Pike County Jail on $120,000 bond.
