Authorities in Pike County, Illinois are looking for a Griggsville man who escaped during a traffic stop Monday evening.

According to Pike County Sheriff Paul Petty, a deputy made a traffic stop on a county road near Baylis about 7:15 p.m. Monday.

A search of the SUV resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, 18 year old Cain Vincent of Pittsfield was taken into custody on an outstanding Pike County warrant.

Vincent’s passenger, 23 year old Dusty Embree of Griggsville, was handcuffed but fled on foot during the search of the vehicle.
Embree ran into a cornfield, and had not been found as of late Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities do not believe that Embree is a danger to the community. If you have information on his whereabouts, you’re asked to call Pike County Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500.
