A teen suspect accused of double murder was chased down by US Marshals in Illinois recently after a fatal shooting took two lives.

The US Marshals shared this news recently via a bulletin on their website. Michael Johnson Jr., 14, has been on the run for two months since a fatal shooting on March 14, 2024 resulted in two deaths in Dayton, Ohio. Johnson has been accused of two counts of Murder and two counts of Felonious Assault and was found in Peoria, Illinois and he wasn't alone.

The US Marshals also located Davion Clark, 29, who was wanted by the U.S. Marshals on a federal supervised release violation. He is being held in the Peoria County Jail while Johnson is being detained in the Peoria County Juvenile Facility in Illinois.

The US Marshals did not complete this arrest of wanted suspects in Illinois alone. They received assistance from the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Peoria Police Department, and the Dayton Police Department Homicide Unit.

The press release from the federal law enforcement agency goes on to say that both Johnson Jr. and Clark are now awaiting extradition back to Ohio where they will face charges.

The US Marshals are one of the most efficient law enforcement agencies when it comes to capturing those on the run as they arrest more federal fugitives each year than all other law enforcement combined.
