A New London man faces felony charges following a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says 29 year old Donald Foreman is charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm and felony resisting arrest. A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper pulled Foreman over for speeding on Missouri 79 at 2:15 Saturday morning near the entrance to the Mark Twain Cave complex. Methamphetamine,  drug paraphernalia and a loaded pistol were found during a search of Foreman's vehicle. Clayton says Foreman allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a trooper during the arrest process. Meth and a loaded gun were found on Foreman according to the prosecutor's office. Foreman was taken to the Marion County Jail.
