New Canton Man Awaits Sentencing in Federal Case

Sentencing is set for February 15 for a New Canton Illinois man following his conviction on one count of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity.

47 year old Ralph Hathaway was convicted after the US Attorney’s Office presented evidence that Hathaway traveled to South Carolina several times to meet a 13 year old girl he met on line. Authorities say Hathaway brought the girl from South Carolina to a camper in Troy Missouri during 2015.
