The National Weather Service confirms a tornado did indeed touch down in Brown County Tuesday night.

A weather service survey team was in Versailles Wednesday to look at the storm damage. They confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, destroying two mobile homes and knocking down several trees.

Brown County Emergency Management personnel confirm that there was one injury as a result of the storm.

An EF-1 tornado means that winds between 86 and 110 miles per hour came through Versailles Tuesday night.
