Most Dangerous Kansas City, Missouri Neighborhood is Brutal
More and more people are choosing to live in the Kansas City, Missouri area. It's one of the state's fastest growing regions, but there's one neighborhood you'll want to avoid at all costs. Thanks to a soaring crime rate, life there is brutal.
This brand new 2024 survey of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Kansas City, Missouri was just shared by Roadsnacks. While they listed the top 10, I want to focus just on number one.
They say the crime rate in this Kansas City, Missouri place is "536.74% above the national average". If you're driving through it during the daytime, it doesn't look that dangerous. Lots of older homes with the occasional stray dog wandering around plus many trash bags containing who knows what.
This is the neighborhood of South Blue Valley, ranked #1 as the most dangerous neighborhood in the Kansas City, Missouri area. While property crime is more than triple the national average, it's the violent crime that makes this part of Kansas City so tough to deal with.
The good news is the cost of living in South Blue Valley is low. The bad news is you won't want to risk your life by saving money to call it home if you can help it. South Blue Valley is sadly why many are starting to refer to Kansas City as "Killa City". These are mean streets in this part of town. Best to steer clear...if you can. Let's hope the good families that call it home can find a safe path forward.
