Why do experts believe that Missouri is one of the worst states to work from home in? Here is what the data and the experts are saying about working from home in the Show-Me State...

According to a new ranking from WalletHub, Missouri is the 38th best state in the US for Working from Home, far behind states like Illinois ranked 24th, Texas ranked 15th, and the number one overall work-from-home state New Jersey. Why is Missouri so low on the list?

WalletHub says in their article, "WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 12 key metrics. Our data set ranges from the share of workers working from home to internet cost and cybersecurity. We also considered factors like how large and how crowded homes are in each state." Missouri ranked 38th in both key categories, Work Environment, and Living Environment. Some of the states Missouri ranked higher than are Alaska, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Iowa. To see the complete list for yourself, click here!

Did they get this ranking right?

I would say that ranking each state on this scale is HARD...There are parts of Missouri where working from home would be great! If you are a farmer, or rancher, or live in a small town and like to avoid commutes. But to say that Missouri is not a great state to work from home in just doesn't make sense to me. Do you work from home in Missouri? Do you think it is a bad state to work from home?
