(UNDATED)--  Almost 60 percent of Missouri corn is rated as good to excellent, and the soybean crop also is doing pretty well.

The latest federal government crop report shows that 15 percent of the state’s corn has silked. That’s 10 days behind normal and almost three weeks behind last year.

As for soybeans, 90 percent have emerged, which is the same as normal but a little over two weeks behind last year.

Eighty-six percent of the winter wheat crop has been harvested and the first cutting of hay is 98 percent finished.

The government also reported pasture conditions were 91 percent adequate or surplus.
