Kelly, Phillips Appear in Court on Home Invasion Charges

Two Quincy men accused of home invasion appeared in court Tuesday. 

In separate hearings, 23-year-old Chadwick Kelly and James Phillips appeared in Adams County Circuit Court.

Judge Scott Walden scheduled a preliminary hearing for Kelly for September 3. Phillips’ case was continued to September 9.

The two are charged with entering a home at 900 Locust in Quincy July 21 and robbing a man at gunpoint. Kelly and Phillips escaped through the grounds of the Illinois Veterans Home.
