Kahoka Man in Jail for Arson Fire
A Kahoka man is in the Clark County Jail on $50,000 bond following an investigation into a fire that destroyed a Kahoka business early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters from Kahoka and Wayland responded to Ott’s Auto Supply and found flames coming out a door on the north side of the building. The business was reported to be a complete loss.
The State Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire had been set. An investigation resulted in the arrest Tuesday afternoon of 27-year-old Dominic Egley. He is charged with second degree arson, second degree burglary and stealing.
A Kahoka firefighter was treated for a sprained knee suffered while battling the blaze.
