Five juveniles were temporarily detained Wednesday following a report of students in a car displaying a gun on the Pittsfield High School campus.

Pike County Sheriff Paul Petty says the school was locked down for a time. The car was pulled over later in downtown Pittsfield. Four students and another juvenile were in the car. A look-alike spring loaded handgun was also found. The four students involved were released to their parents. One juvenile is in custody on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct. That juvenile also was arrested for retail theft following an earlier incident.
