A crash involving a motorcycle and a truck early Sunday morning on US 54 near
Pittsfield claims the life of a Louisiana Missouri man.
Illinois State Police say a motorcycle operated by 49 year old Jonathan Bolton of Louisiana hit a deer on 54 at 12:24 a-m. Bolton and a passenger—33 year old Melissa Constable were thrown from the motorcycle. Bolton landed in the road and was hit by a truck driven by 33 year old Rebecca Nichols of Santa Fe Missouri. Bolton was pronounced dead at the scene. Constable was taken to Pike County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Nichols and two passengers escaped injury.
