There Might Be Proof that “Mo-Mo” Lives in Pike County, Missouri
You can laugh, but ask just about anyone who's lived in Pike County, Missouri for a good amount of time and they will tell you that there is a "Mo-Mo" that lives in that part of the state. There is evidence that what they believe may very well be true.
If you're new to "Mo-Mo", this is a shaggy beast that some would describe as a Bigfoot. There are 3 famous cases of Mo-Mo sightings that have led many to believe that this mythical creature is real. The most notorious cases happened in 1972 and 1973. The 1973 sighting even resulted in a Destination America episode.
The Bigfoot Research Organization documents what happened July 15, 1972 in Pike County near Louisiana. A guy told a story about how he was walking down a road and saw what he thought was a farmer about 300 to 400 feet away. He began to question that it was a farmer when he saw cows fleeing from the person. He then heard a blood-curdling scream and realized he was dealing with something else. He fled to a nearby farmer's home, but was not allowed in. He saw the creature chased off by dogs back into the woods. He said the smell of the creature was like dead flesh.
April 4, 1973 was the most famous Pike County "Mo-Mo" sighting of them all. A family heard the same screams that the previous witness had mentioned. In this case, it had rained and the father of the family was able to get a plaster cast of what he claimed were from the beast.
There was a comment on YouTube that added to the Pike County mystery:
Mark LeBlanc - "I went there for vacation in Missouri and we went hiking and my cousin and I heard howling and left the footprint cast at aunt Helen's just like that"
Are these fabricated casts meant to fool national TV shows? All I can say is that there's a lot of smoke (proof) in Pike County, Missouri for there not to be some fire (truth) there also.
