A central Illinois woman is sentenced following a guilty plea to a variety of drug and burglary charges.
The Pike County Illinois Sheriff’s department says 44 year old Jacki McLaughlin of Greenview was sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections Thursday following guilty pleas to charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine… residential burglary and unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle. McLauglin was arrested in Menard County on November 12 after Pike County Chief Deputy Zach Orr was able to pinpoint McLaughlin’s location using evidence found during a traffic stop on a stolen truck. The truck driver—43 year old William Williams of Springfield is scheduled for a jury trial in Pike County on April 13.  The arrests helped solve two burglaries and a vehicle theft in the Baylis reported in late October and mid November.
