I-72/I-172 Trumpet Interchange Rollover Crash

A St. Louis truck driver sustained serious injuries at 10:36 Monday morning when his semi overturned on the I-72/I-172 trumpet interchange.

Illinois State Police say 34-year-old Fenesad Hamidovic approached the decreasing radius of the turn too fast causing his semi to tip over and slide off the road. Hamidovic was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.

Troopers ticketed him for improper lane usage. Emergency crews were on the scene into the afternoon.
