Hannibal Rural Fire, Ralls County Issue Burn Bans

Two more local entities issue burn bans until further notice.

Hannibal Rural Fire Department Chief Mike Dobson announced a burn ban Monday for HRFD residents due to high fire danger conditions. The ban continues until conditions improve.

Also, the Ralls County Commission passed a burn ban resolution Monday for all of rural Ralls County.

The Ralls County ban includes fireworks, camp fires and any prescribed burning such as fence rows or fields.

Earlier, a burn ban had been issued by the City of Hannibal, and a burn advisory was put into effect for Adams County outside the city of Quincy.
