Burn Ban Issued in Hannibal

A burn ban is now in effect in Hannibal.

The City of Hannibal says the ban is being implemented due to low moisture conditions, low humidity, and higher wind conditions. City officials say you can continue to take yard waste to the Street Department facility on Warren Barrett Drive. Residents can drop off yard waste at that location seven days a week. Firefighters in several locations around northeast Missouri and western Illinois have been called out over the last week for field fires and brush fires.
