Another impending snowstorm results in the issuing of Emergency Declaration for the city of Hannibal.

Mayor Jim Hark issued the declaration Friday afternoon, citing forecasts calling for eight to ten inches of snow beginning this evening, followed by temperatures dropping into the single digits, along with high winds, resulting in drifting and visibility issues over the weekend.

City crews will begin continuous clearing of residential streets, working in 12-hour alternating shifts.

Meanwhile, Bleigh Construction will work to clear major roads and arterials.
Also, the city is prohibiting parking on Broadway from the flood wall to Maple Avenue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, allowing crews to keep Broadway fully cleared.

This weekend’s storm comes on the heels of the 14 inches of snow that fell on Hannibal last weekend.
