Hannibal Parks and Recreation and City of Hannibal officials unveil a proposal for major renovation along the Hannibal riverfront.

Parks and Recreation Director Andy Dorian says the area involved runs from the boat club to Bear Creek. The 5.4 million dollar project would accommodate simultaneous docking by two large riverboats and the Mark Twain Riverboat. A new boat ramp would allow the launch of boats without having to deal with the river current. The proposed plan does not include a marina. Hannibal’s Park Board votes on the plan this (TH) evening. Plans are to present the plan to the Hannibal City Council July Fifth.
