The riverfront redo includes a new marina and boat ramp, docking locations for two large riverboats, along with the Mark Twain Riverboat and Canton Marine Towing.

There is also new fencing, lighting, sidewalks, a rock wall and large green spaces.
Director of Central Services Andy Dorian said Phase One of the riverfront project is near completion, with Phase Two to include the installation of such things as benches, trash cans, storyboards and flag poles.

The work on the riverfront was done by Bleigh Construction, along with subcontractors and employees from the Hannibal Board of Public Works, Parks and Rec and the Hannibal Street Department.
