Use of a search warrant by Hannibal Police Tuesday results in four arrests. Officers with the department’s Anti Crime Enforcement Squad searched a residence in the 1300 block of Ely Street as part of an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine. Officers say the search results in charges of endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence against 36 year old William Gauch of Hannibal. 30 year old Brandy Gauch of Hannibal is charged following the search with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. 38 year old Eric Powell of Hannibal was arrested for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and on three active warrants. 32 year old Donald Robinson of Hannibal faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Powell was taken to the Marion County Jail. The others were released pending a review by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Three children were taken into protective custody as a result of the investigation.
