Hannibal Man Injured in Collision With Freight Train

(HANNIBAL)—A Hannibal man is recovering from his  injuries after driving his pickup truck into the path of a Norfolk Southern freight train at 9:15 Sunday morning. 

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Justin Meyer failed to yield to the eastbound train at the grade crossing on Marion County Road 433 just west of Hannibal. Meyer was taken by private vehicle to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of moderate injuries.
