A Hannibal man convicted on sodomy charges gets the maximum sentence of life in prison.

Andrew Crook was convicted by a Macon County jury following a December incident involving a child under the age of 12. Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says the victim got justice and that the victim and family can have some peace knowing the defendant will never again be able to do this again. Another case is still pending against Crook. He is charged with child molestation of a juvenile male. That case has a February 6th status hearing in Hannibal.
