Hannibal Man Arrested on Drug Charges

A Hannibal man is now in custody after being arrested on charges of distributing a controlled substance.

The Hannibal Police Department has arrested Kirk A Morwatis, 47, of Hannibal on a warrant charging Morawitz with a Class B Felony of Distribution of a Controlled Substance by knowlingly distributing, delivering or selling heroin. Morwaitz is being held inside the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash bond.

The warrant comes after an investigation conducted by the Hannibal Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad into illegal narcotics distribution.
