Hannibal Man Arrested for Abusing Three-Month-Old Baby

A former West Plains, Missouri man is in the Marion County Jail on child abuse charges.

On Tuesday, Hannibal Police detectives took 22 year old Cody Adkerson into custody.

Adkerson is alleged to have injured a three month old baby on multiple occasions while the baby was in his care.

On Wednesday, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County, charging Adkerson with three counts of abuse or neglect of a child.

Adkerson remains in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.

The baby is expected to recover from its injuries.
