Hannibal Man Arrested Following July Searches

Use of a search warrant in early July leads to the arrest this week of a Hannibal man on drug charges.
Hannibal Police say 31 year old Jon Morton was arrested Tuesday at 3650 Stardust. During a search of Morton… police found items consistent with distribution of methamphetamine and officers later recovered a quantity of what’s believed to be meth from a vehicle Morton drove to the address on Stardust. Morton is also charged in warrants resulting from July 3rd searches in the 2600 block of Carroll and the 900 block of Ernest. Morton was taken to the Marion County Jail and is held on four active warrants. Possible new charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine… possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia are being reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s office.
