The Hannibal Cavemen handed division-leading Terre Haute its first loss of the second-half with an 8-3 win over Rex in Terre Haute.

The Cavemen got all the runs they needed in the third inning. The visitors touched Rex pitching for seven runs. Three of the runs scored on wild pitches, along with two-run singles from Christian Cavaness and Cory Lubinski.

The win lifts the Cavemen's record to 17-19 overall and 3-4 for the second half.

The Prospect League plays its All-Star Game Tuesday at Terre Haute. Hannibal's next game is Thursday at Clemens Field when the Springfield Sliders come to town.
