It is hard for me to even fathom having a missing child or grandchild. Unfortunately, there are thousands of children every year who become missing. With that in mind,  National Missing Children’s Day is recognized nationally each year and will be held this Saturday, May 25.

This year the Quincy Police Department will have available to the public “In-home inkless fingerprint and DNA kits.” These kits are available in the Pro-Act Unit, located on the first floor of City Hall through May 31 between 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.

If you are a parent or a grandparent, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to get one of these child identification kits. If you have any questions, contact the Pro-Act Office at the Quincy Police Department at 228-4485.
