Four Die on Missouri Waterways
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports four people died on Missouri waterways this week.
19 year-old Christopher Watson of Farmington drowned Sunday as he attempted to swim across the Black River in the southern part of the state. 70 year-old Kenneth Vancil died Tuesday after he was ejected from a watercraft on the Black River. 13 year-old Justin Persons of Montgomery, Illinois drowned Tuesday after his canoe capsized in the Jacks Fork River in the boot heel area. And 35 year-old Mark Concepcion of St. Robert, Missouri drowned Friday while attempting to swim across the Gasconade River in the south-central part of the state.
According to Highway Patrol statistics, 22 people have died on Missouri waterways this year.
